Zara Socho

Imagine a scenario, where your worked for a client presentation. On the D-day the presentation goes very well, and the client is really happy with you. So happy that infront of other board members he gives you a tip of Rs.500 saying he loved your presentation. Your reaction???? How will you react?

Well if can take the liberty of speaking on behalf of most of us, i will feel isnsulted. Coz wat we used to is appreciation coming our way in a professional manner- by an award, by appreciation mail, by promotion etc. Not by handing over a TIP!!!
We do our job like a professional and expect same amount of professionalism from others., and by giving a tip we feel insulted

If we all agree to the above view, then why many of us land up giving tips to artists and in the process unknowingly insulting the artist??
Incase people are wondering where has this come from? here is the background-
I went to a grand resturant for dinner with family. Here there was a group of musician playing instuments like- sitar, tabla, and santoor. No doubt they were awesome, they just put life in the quite environment., They were so good that no one was talking all were peacefully enjoying the music. All was fine..until one mad man took my attention, where he just stood up n slipped a 500 ko note to the group. He was crazy, i cant forget the expression on the lead musicians face. He was by no way pleased to have the tip, he was annoyed.

This is wat triggered this post.
Why cant we respect people for their jobs, why do we have to neccesarily have to give a tip to show our praise. People might feel great with the thought of helping them by extending monetary help , but please do realise in the process you land up hurting poor man's sentiments.
These musicians etc are employeed with the hotel, they get their salaries. Why do we have to give them a tip??
I am sure their must be a different school of thought to my opinion as well, but my dear friends this is wat i feel. And I wish , that ugly man some days gets tip from his boss, so that he gets a taste of his own medicine.

Why?? and when??

There is so much running in my mind, that I don’t really know what to do? It’s been a long time, I had a sound sleep. People ask me , am I sad?? But my question is, is not being happy the only reason for not being at peace? There is a constant fight going on inside, fight of thoughts, fight of views. These internal fights are amazing , as you never seem to have the privilege of victory.
I wish I could speak my heart out to someone, but I feel it will not make sense. I feel I should write it down , but again am not able to hold myself for long doing it. I sincerely want to do so much, but just cant. People say thought is important, how come in actual life actions become more important than thought??

I can spend hours thinking about life, but can life spend a minute thinking about me????

Expectations- a door to Frustration!!

Why do people expect things from their near n dear ones?? Infact from any one for that matter?? If u see half of life's problem will be solved if we stop doing this. Children don’t spend time wth parents- parents are upset, husband doesn’t get gifts – wife is upset, kids dnt get admission in college- kids are upset….you plan for an outing and ur friend ditches u last minute- u r SAD.

All is just related to this one word – EXPECTATION.
Why cant we just let life be the way it is- I mean give your best and leave the rest. Why it has to hurt you every time when your dear ones don’t give you wat u want??

Well yes I am completely convinced today, that its absolutely wrong to expect something from someone?? Its like cutting a fool of urself…..

It doesn’t nessesarily has to be a big expectation…even smallest of thngs can make u feel like a looser…

Actually its all mind game…u expect ..u make plans…u start thnking…n then in one jolt all is gone…for a thing for which u mite have spend days thking…will have to go in a flash of a second and suddenly the mind doesn’t stop processing it. So it hurts!!

I remember once some one telling me - the key to happy life is not to expect. I wish I cud adopt this, n follow it fully. Everytime it happens,…the poor heart has to go thru all ths pain…

Well it’s not just wrong but a crime to expect something?? Atleast for your own sake , get this into your lifestyle - and dont expect !!!

Questions and more questions...

Don’t know what to do in life…..u feel things are out of your control….u think u cant take this anymore…..

We all have been in these or similar situations. We all go thru phases in life wen we r just about to break down…what one does in these situations???

More importantly why does even one has to go thru these…why cant we all have a mutual agreement with God ji – neither u trouble us nor we shall trouble u..

A simple and peaceful life is what one looks for….why suddenly one day we wake up to realize that we have complicated it…..

There are probably too many questions with just one answer….DESTINY

Destiny my friend is the answer to all questions. We all agree, that all of us have a story- in form of a life. I wonder at times , …man who has written so many stories?? Must be real creative one for sure….who other than “ bhagwan ji” must have done this Herculean task. I have heard people saying that every 5 people in this entire world have similar life story. GOD knows its true or not. Did GOD wrote all our stories together?? Or is he still writing?? Because if he is still writing we can ask him to tweak it a little na J Bollywood wasn’t then nether Ekta Kapoor– else God would have got some real cool ideas. Is that story writing factory still on..or the new generation is repeating any of our forefather’s story?

Inflation!!!!

Inflation reaching two digit figure..has taken every one by surprise, everyone is tensed over this overshooting commodity prices…its not normally that the economy bleeds like this.

But how do suddenly prices rise?? With my limited knowledge, I can attempt answering this.
Firstly prices don’t rise abruptly, we need to understand the cause behind this..Reason less supply and more money.…This is how we define inflation “ too much prices chasing few commodities” . i.e people have a lot of money to spend but the supply of goods and services not showing similar trends. The easy personal loans, low interest rates., the easy availability of car and white goods with EMI option etc..all raise the purchasing power of the economy….this is an ironic situation for only 14% of the families spend 15k or more on household expenditure and 38% is in the bracket of less than 4k a month. So who is actually having a high purchasing power?? The resources are concentrated in hands of Few Individuals – i.e how Poverty defined in Economics

Neways now with measures such as high Repo rate and CRR, what RBI is trying to do, is getting the excess money supply in place. Increased CRR and Repo rate will ensure banks lending capacity go down, and thus we will see the increase in PLR. All these will take time to get back the things to normal. All these will also impact the foreign inflow of cash in the economy. The stock market currently looks very depressing but it will bounce back.

Lets hope things get back to some shape soon….

I am Back!!!

Hello everyone, yes I am back!!

Back from - hectic times, vacation, confusion, frustration, depression and passion :) Have been writing a lot for past couple of months, but was unable to post it on blog.

Ne ways....let me talk about the latest thing fascinating me the most - its the Delhi Weather.

I don't remember seeing summers being so cool. Everyday seeing the cloudy sky, the drizzling, at times heavy rains is just so much fun . It happened thrice with me and my family- we left home for having dinner outside. Everything is just fine, no remote signs of rains or storms....BUT the moment we step out we are greeted by thunder storms and heavy rains.... I wonder at times whether GOD giving us signals of not increasing any more kilos and refrain from eating outside. But as I have my filters right in my head , comfortably ignore God's deary message .

The toughest time you have in such weather is working in office. The weather outside directly affects your work productivity at office. The studies of " RIAS" i.e Ruchi Institute of Advanced Sciences shows in cloudy or rainy weather, the body releases a special enzyme which provokes you to go outside and may be hazardous in case you work. But unfortunately no company subscribes to this view and employees are left wanting more.
But still no cribs..this summer is the best I have seen in my life...it feels i am in Bangalore or Pune.
I love my Delhi even more !!!

" Men will be Men"

Disclaimer- This article might not be liked by some of my male friends. Please read at your own risk.

Why is it so difficult for males to accept rejection/defeat/ NO???? I just fail to understand.....
I had this amazing stint with so called " Male Ego"" Trust me all this while I had just heard about it and used to think this exists only in movies. A guy who was all praises and love for a girl..suddenly finds her the ugliest woman in town...his frustration is high to such an extent that not only he is ignoring the girl but ...making all possible attempts to make her life miserable.

I am personally very annoyed with this version of "men". who loves to be in some dream world of their own. They have full freedom to make their own choices, flirt wth 100 females...but wen it comes to marriage they take thr picks very smartly. They will finalise a girl wth all possible qualities- looks, education, character, nature, salary, sense of humor.....n then decide on a "target". And feels the moment they will approach a girl, she will jump off her feet to come to him. And that there is no option with her to say NO.

My suggestion to all such guys please do a lil bit of analysis- to see where u fit in w.r.t event 50% of criterion u set for the other party.....

Expressions...

People are fairly confused in this world- yes they are. I am Shocked to see that, the people have reached the highest degree of manipulation in their lives. Try doing it at times and you would know where I am coming from- when you are in a group, just be silent and let the others do the talking, and you just OBSERVE. You will clearly see the true face behind the speaking faces, they all are bloody so fake. You cant trust anyone - you never know the sympathy that's coming your way is with a plan in mind. The company over coffee given to you mite be because you have some information that the other person mite want.
All this I learnt during my MBA days, thanks to my friends who helped me graduate in this process along with the professional degree!!
And why I tell that people are confused, because they don't know what they want from their life, all these manipulations they get into is not because of some major long term plan, its for their momentary pleasure. In the corporate world I can still try and convince myself for the fake behavior. But people have lost touch with themselves even in the personal world. Emotions like care, love etc have all become mind games. People select a " target " and then do everything possible to alter themselves to suit the other person- which the world refers to as LOVE. Love doesn't come from heart any more , it straight gets generated from the mind.
People are in a business of pleasing everyone around, they mould themselves so much to suit the other party( be it boyfriend, Friend, Husband, Sister or mother in law, colleagues, BOSS etc) that at the end of the day it Will be hard for them to tell that in midst of all this fake expressions where does their original self lies. And that is the biggest loss any one can suffer from- to loose ones individuality for the world around. And its sad to see that most of the people around have already lost this battle.....

KHALI- the HEMAN!!!

What wil happen tomorrow?? will Khali win?? Will this huge demon beat the world wrestling
stars. If you still cant make out the greek I am talking- its the WWE championship which is gonna happen tomorrow.
All the news channel are showing stories around this man Khali- who is creating waves around the wrestling world.
Khali is 7 feet 3 inches , "pehalwaan" from a village in Himachal. He speaks only hindi, he can crush a water melon with his hands. There will be 7 people fighting against him, who all have their own grudges against khali.
So waht will Khali's starategy be. I think he will hit Undertaker on the head, that is his weakest spot.
All I am wondering about is , that there are so many social issues which can be raised, but the NEWS channel decides to waste hours on this everyday. They have even shown his 11years old photographs, his coach interview, his friends interview...uffffff.
Any ways - WE all MUST watch this fight tomorrow!! We mite just miss too much if we miss THE KHALI FIGHT.

?????

At times the unexpected happens and you are scared……and more dangerous are the times, when you are scared and fearing the unexpected to happen.

Its not often that you face such times….but believe me…when you do ..it is really scary….

It almost hits like a depression phase…you feel everything possible will go wrong around you. You go numb, and feel all your energy has gone. There is no logic at all to such feelings…but still once in a while we all have to deal with it.

Why does it happen?? Is this is what we call “Sixth Sense” But more importantly what happens next :-(

An event to remember for life....

Marriage is the most beautifull and important decision in ones life. As this is the only relationshipp that is by choice....and families change :) But I feel really sad seeing that now a days we make this event just too loud. So loud that the real essence of this gets lost, the feelings that should flow between the two individulas and families just dont take place.

Either side is more concerned about logistics rather the marriage itself....tent laga ke nahi, khana kam toh nahi padega, xyz ki saari aa gayi kya....kaam wali kahan hai....gadde wala kitne gadde de gaya....pandit ji ka samman....aur GHODI wala kahan hai???? In all this crisis u hardly get to hear your own voice, how can u even listen wat the other person wants to tell you.

It's an event in itself- a very big one. My brother's marriage got successfully over last week. And I gota chance to witness this humoungous event closely.

The two people tieing the knot are supposedly to be the hero-heroine of the show. Unka toh gadha bana ke rakhtein hai...they are so stupidly involved in so many rituals and running here and there and pleasing alliens...by the time the phera's were happening- poor couple was dozing off...dnt blame it on the rituals...m sure they have their significance..all my concern is "essence" We all in a nut shell want the GOD's, the elders to bless this relationship and shower their blessings....so be it that way....It doesnt have to be LOUD!!

Believe me the only charm I had was that we will be having a new family member, who is of my age, with whom I can share my joys n sorrows...But to be very honest by the time we got the poor girl to our place I dint have the strenghth to sit with her and say "hi" also. All I wanted was REST....

And to top it all, there were discussions months before the event of how to please everyone. And now when it is over , discussions are still their, but around how people went un-happy. Grrrr

Well I pitty my Mom, after all she was leading the show single handedly...we all were basically taking instructions from her.

Ahh- Corporate World

It was 18 months back I entered this mad house called the " Corporate World". All thru our MBA we were taught this is the ultimate life which gives you power, fame and lots of money.....
18 months down the line I find myself midst of everything but these three...

What u actually get in return is - donkey work, responsibility without authority, and company of people, who I personally call professional version of "lalita pawar's" and " shashi kala's". Why they have been given this name is because of their commendable act of making plans each moment of how to take the credit without doing any work. Given a Chance they would not even think twice before even back biting

My teachers in MBA used to shout " the corporate world is waiting for you, u are the future". For sure the corporate world was waiting for us- SLAVES we are!!
I wonder have I done MBA or Masters of Administration.

Its not actually cribbing what I am doing right now- it's more of amusement over the huge difference between reality and the perceived notion of the corporate world.

Well as every one says these are the learning years and to be successfull one has to grill himself, before he actually gets to the top. The learning part I dont mind as long as I dont learn being another Lalita Pawar and Shashi Kala :-)
