Why do people expect things from their near n dear ones?? Infact from any one for that matter?? If u see half of life's problem will be solved if we stop doing this. Children don’t spend time wth parents- parents are upset, husband doesn’t get gifts – wife is upset, kids dnt get admission in college- kids are upset….you plan for an outing and ur friend ditches u last minute- u r SAD.
All is just related to this one word – EXPECTATION.
Why cant we just let life be the way it is- I mean give your best and leave the rest. Why it has to hurt you every time when your dear ones don’t give you wat u want??
Well yes I am completely convinced today, that its absolutely wrong to expect something from someone?? Its like cutting a fool of urself…..
It doesn’t nessesarily has to be a big expectation…even smallest of thngs can make u feel like a looser…
Actually its all mind game…u expect ..u make plans…u start thnking…n then in one jolt all is gone…for a thing for which u mite have spend days thking…will have to go in a flash of a second and suddenly the mind doesn’t stop processing it. So it hurts!!
I remember once some one telling me - the key to happy life is not to expect. I wish I cud adopt this, n follow it fully. Everytime it happens,…the poor heart has to go thru all ths pain…
Well it’s not just wrong but a crime to expect something?? Atleast for your own sake , get this into your lifestyle - and dont expect !!!

However I feel that expectations also are a prime reason why people stay connected to each other...

I totaly agree expectations are key to happiness as well to sorrow...... sometime situation and circumstances bound ppl from matching expectations.
We just need to undrstnd whether expectations are at what priority in life .... well said sooo everyone keeps small or big expectations from each known (mind it knowingly or unknowingly).. Mother expects her child to be a Superman on his very first DAY of Birth ...

I dont agree with you that there should be no expectations. It would not be possible to have no expectation if we were not social animals. we live in a society, are bound together with relationships and hence we expect from each other. The problem arises when we do not know where to draw the line and we often over expect from others. If expectations are set right, and there is no mis match between how much two people expect from each other, trust me there would never be any problems ever.
